Athletics

athletics day at RCIS

RCIS Athletics' mission is to help all students live up to their full potential – and give them experiences they will cherish forever.

Sports are a great educational experience, teaching students to persevere, lead, work with teammates and achieve. Upon entering year 7, students become eligible for organized sports. All Senior School students play on a team for at least one season in year 9 and 10, building confidence, self-discipline and leadership skills.

Students choose among dozens of athletic programs. Each head coach stays closely involved with athletes at every level. We also operate on a “no-cut” policy. Students’ team placement is based on their skill level, but no student is ever denied the opportunity to participate in the sport of his or her choice.
